0.0 - Introduction of Target Party.


Target Party will be a first-person shooter based in speedrunning and platforming.

The goal at each level is to get to the end as fast as possible after breaking every target in your way.

Our goal is to make a well-polished, satisfactory platforming game.

V 0.0

At this version basic movement has been added, now you can move through the scene using a polished first-person controller, speed, gravity and friction values has been carefully adjusted for a great experience. Also some minors improves as a blob shadow that will always show where will you land. 

For a better experience some tricks as coyote time or more permissive inputs were added:

  • Coyote time is a small window of time after a character walks off a ledge during which they can still jump as if they were on solid ground. This makes platforming more fluid by been more permisive with the player.


  • Input buffering is another technique that queues the inputs so the player doesn’t have to perform the actions at the exact frame that is needed. E.g., If you jump some frames before landing, you will jump as soon as you touch the ground.


Another addition is  the basis of the weapon system, this isn´t anything visible yet but once the weapons are ready (V-0.1) the system will work perfectly, now you can pick up ammo from the floor and it will get ordered as you pick it up. More details about weapons will be revealed in a few weeks.
